What is Fort Point Free Music Collective? A monthly performance series celebrating all different forms of free improvisation and the various methodologies behind it.
This group began with performances in the Fort Point Lyric Room in June of 2023. Since then we have engaged local artists and audience members from the Fort Point area. Through that engagement we have discovered that this area once had a large community of improvising musicians. One of our goals is to bring that back to Fort Point.
As an audience member, we invite you to listen deeply and ask questions if you’d like to!
This is an open group of Free jazz / experimental music performers, and each show is unique with different instrumentation.
